Happy Valentine's Day!!
As I've often said, I don't see Valentine's Day as a day to express romantic love (or the only day, at the very least). Instead, I like to spend my Valentine's celebrating the love I have for my friends, my cat, and myself!
For instance, I like to look back at things I've done on Valentine's Day and give myself a pat on the back for my accomplishments-both big and small. That includes when I've put together looks that made me feel good! It sounds cheesy, but sometimes looking good is part of feeling good, and putting together something that makes me feel good is a feat unto itself!
This look is one of those looks. I was flipping through my old photos and found pictures in my phone from this blog post two years ago. It's one of my favorite early posts because it's simple but pretty! Every time I repost it I get loads of likes and comments, and so I couldn't help but feel it was time to recreate it in a new way.
Enter this look! I picked up this ruffled red tank from my Le Tote box months ago and it's that perfect statement piece that reminded me of the fun neckline of my red lace dress. I paired it with the same coat I wore back then and blue jeans for a casual spin on a more formal look.
For the sake of sparkle, I added this bright pink and yellow crystal necklace and some big pear-shaped earrings. For the finishing touch, I brought back a new set of nude pumps almost identical to the pair I wore two years ago.
It was fun to put this together!! Because as Leslie Knope says, "I am big enough to admit I am often inspired by myself."
Hope you've enjoyed your day!
xoxo
